Abstract

Islamic jurisprudence is fundamentally built on principles of ease, compassion, and adaptability, especially concerning individuals facing physical hardships or health constraints. Performing the mandatory prayers is a cornerstone of faith, but when a believer suffers from illness, old age, or physical disabilities that prevent standing or prostrating normally, accommodations are provided. Under established legal and theological guidelines, sitting on a chair becomes a valid alternative method to fulfill this religious obligation. This flexibility allows individuals to maintain their spiritual continuity and devotion without inflicting further physical harm, highlighting the practical and accommodating nature of religious laws.
